Answer:
There are a certain number of roommates, tenants, etc., listed all over the website. That is the number that shows at the top of a search. The actual matches for the specific area you chose are what will show on the page, person by person. For example, if you did a search for "Landlords" but didn't limit your search to a particular country, all the landlords posted on Christian Housing would show up, and that would match the number at the top. But if you limited your search to Landlords in Seattle, Washington, it would still show that number for all the landlords, but would display only those landlords in Seattle, Washington.
